Dear Editor:
I would like someone to investigate and do a story on why potholes are more abundant in certain neighborhoods.聽
It has become extremely unsafe and almost impossible to navigate the streets of certain neighborhoods. The area on Paddock Road between Reading Road and Seymour Avenue looks like a slice of Swiss cheese. It is the main corridor to Interstate 75 in that part of town. The same is true of Gilbert Avenue between Victory Parkway and the entrance to Eden Park. It is impossible to safely navigate these roads.
While trying to navigate these roads, my car dropped down in a deep pothole, and the tire was slashed. As a senior citizen, it was not only scary, but unsafe to wait in a dark area for an automotive repair truck.
These are not side streets, but main arteries of travel on that side of town. Why are those streets always in such disrepair?
Thank you.
